Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation combines primer to set, concealer to correct and foundation to perfect your look. And thanks to a long-wear formula, it keeps you firmly in the fabulous zone to last all day.
I was sent a full size product in Medium Beige free to review. I was not otherwise compensated for this post. Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation claims to have: “Lasting power of primer, coverage of a concealer, and blendability of a foundation in one. Shine Free” Scroll down to see what this product junkie thought about these claims!
I love the packaging. The glass bottle and the pump which has a lock that makes it great for traveling makes the product feel substantial. The colour (Medium Beige) was good as it has yellow undertones to it, I could get away with it on my skin.
Texture & Application:
Quite thin but not too runny. Goes on pretty easily and blends okay if you work fast as it dries very quickly. I applied the product using a damp sponge on freshly washed and moisturized face. I patted the product onto the areas where I needed it most. The product did blend in at first, but again, you have to work fast!
Coverage & Finish:
I would say this has Sheer to Medium coverage. It does not give a lot of coverage and my attempts at layering it on to build up the coverage backfired as it started to feel very cakey. I did have to use a few pumps though to get enough coverage on my red areas. It has a mostly a matte almost powdery like Finish. It didn’t absorb (melt) into my skin very well. It almost felt like it sat on top. I found that this emphasizes lines and pores and doesn’t help to smooth them out, not the finish I’m looking for!
Okay, I would agree that the oil-control is probably pretty good as it made my normal to dry skin feel very dry. I don’t like the way this sits on my skin. It doesn’t give me that “wow” factor that I get from Benefit Cosmetics Hello Flawless! Oxygen Liquid Foundation. It did stay very matte (too much) & lasted all day which is good, but not good when your skin feels dry!
- Good consistency
- Good for oily skin
- Covers redness
- Evens out skin tone
- Pump dispenser
- Stays matte for 8 hrs
- SPF 20
- Cakes up after the second layer
- Limited tone selection
- Not recommended for dry skin
- Color oxides
It does stay put a long time, covers redness like a concealer would, and provides a shine free finish…
I wouldn’t go as far as to recommend you toss your favourite concealer as you are still going to need it if you use this product. It blends okay if you have a well moisturized face and work quickly. Very quickly.
Since I have skin on the drier side, this product just wasn’t for me. It would be great for someone who has skin on the oily side.
