First things first, I absolutely hate paying more for things than I have to. I scour my shopping apps weekly and will hunt down the best deals anywhere. If I have to run out for some household staples, or even a new shirt or outfit the first place I run to is Giant Tiger. Okay, it’s like basically across the street from me, but still. Giant Tiger always has great deals on every day items, they are also 100% Canadian and support local associations and charities across Canada. This Sunday, November 22, 2015, Giant Tiger in London, Ontario is having their Friends & Family Event. (ask your local store if they are holding a F&F event)
It may take some work to score an invite (mostly by asking the cashier nicely when you check out) or, have a fabulous friend (like me) you can be a +1 to. If you are lucky enough to score an invite or a +1, you’ll be so glad you did. At 5:00 pm the doors close as they normally do on a Sunday. At 6:00 pm they will magically open back up for exclusive shopping to those with a magical invite. This invite will score you 25% discount* off your total shopping bill (*excluding grocery, candy, pet food, health & beauty, cleaning supplies, tobacco, lottery and gift cards) That means, you can get that cute outfit (or two) stock up on Christmas pajamas, socks, skivvies, toys, small appliances, house hold goods, Holiday decor AND MORE at 25% off!!
With the Holidays fast approaching, Giant Tiger is also giving back to loyal customers and fans with the chance to Win a Family Reunion!! ($10,000 Travel Voucher) as well as $200 in Gift Cards to be won daily! Visit and enter every day to increase your chances of winning!

Technology gifts are great don’t get me wrong, but they can be expensive, and can be a bit anti-social. Gifts that bring people together is where it’s all at. Gifts that need more than one person to play with, are a fantastic way to nudge people to put down the laptops, tablets, and phones. Foster social interaction and good-old quality time together. Looking at each other. Learning together. Connecting.
Board Games make a fun hostess gift, and are one of my favourite, affordable, presents to give kids of all ages. Playing games is a sure-fire way to ignite some healthy friend & family competition and bring everyone together. Sure, there’s bound to be a cheater somewhere in the family (like my four-year old), laughter is bound to ensue. Board Games are also affordable; especially at Giant Tiger. Just look at what’s on sale this week..
Sleep wear is a staple Christmas gift for everyone in the family! I remember every, single year getting pajamas for Christmas. Now, my kids get pajamas every, single, Christmas. It’s tradition! GT has you covered there too; right along with the socks, undies, and slippers for the entire family from babies to Plus Size!
If you are starting to prepare for holiday entertaining, a few isles over you’ll find everything you need for a jolly good time. Like Festive Holiday Decor and apps galore.
I found the perfect gift for my four-year old for Christmas. He is going to absolutely loose his ish when he opens this gift. I’m debating getting another one or two on Sunday at the Friends & Family Event. He just loves to build. He loves to build forts. This is perfect! But somehow, I cant see one Discovery Kids Build and Play set being enough for his imagination. I think two sets is in order, and of course, will make a great gift for another little builder I know!
It’s no wonder Giant Tiger is known as Canada’s Comfy, Cozy, Christmas Store!!
